Thrace Basin Gas Exploration Project

Petrako Oil & Gas Exploration and Production Company ("Petrako") is a private Turkish company engaged in the exploration, development, and production of petroleum and natural gas in Turkey and petroleum engineering consultancy company. Company team.has extensive experience on subsurface geology and rehabilitation of oil fields in Turkey and as well as in Azerbaijan and Georgia and other CIS countries, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan

Since Petrako was established in 1997, the Company has executed a number of transactions and JV partnerships whereas holds interests in 3 production leases in Edirne provence (NW Turkey) totaling 20.000 ha. The Thrace Basin area, located in the European part of Turkey, provides the majority of Turkish domestic gas production.

Petrako is pursuing conventional shallow natural gas and a potentially significant tight gas resource plays in the Thrace Basin by applying 2D and 3D seismic technology, international expertise for evaluation and interpretation of plays and prospects. This upstream program was complemented by ownership of gas gathering and sales infrastructure (via national pipeline network) to support direct marketing of natural gas to end users.

The shallow gas discovered together with Australian Otto Energy (80%) in 2005. Otto Energy (35%), Incremental Petroleum (55%), and Petrako (10%) completed aquisition of 3D seismic survey in Edirne License and then jointly drilled eleven gas production wells. Gas production realized from tertiary aged sands of Osmancik formation from about 450 meters.

Thrace Basin Gas Production Project

Petrako was holding and acting as a Joint Operator in 3ea "production leases"in Thrace Basin, namely ARİ/TEM-PTK-VEN/E17b4, ARİ/TEM-PTK-VEN/E17c1 and ARİ/TEM-PTK-VEN/E17c2 accordingly. Those licences were divided and transferred from the long term exploration asset, AR/TMI-VEN-PTK/3839. The gas production has been continuing since 2010. Petrako remains its %10 shares in all of those licences with US Transatlantic Petroleum Company (%55) and Canadian Valeura Energy (%35).

The produced gas was relatively sweet and lean and requires only dehydration and compression to meet sales pressure specifications. The gas was processed at the surface facility which is tied into the pipeline system located nine kilometres from the plant and operated by national gas transmission company, BOTAS. The gas was sold to one of Turkey's gas and power wholesalers. Sales from the Edirne Licence began in April 2010 whereasPetrako's natural gas sales in Turkey by the first quarter of 2020 has reached 350 Million m3.

Alaşehir Oil Development Project

Petrako has been awarded an oil license in Alasehir Oil Project in the Manisa province in western Turkey with the Australian oil company Petroz Limited in October 2015. Petrako remains its %25 shares in this licence as Operator whereas Petroz Limited has % 75 shares which provide technical assistance and Joint operator.

Historical Exploration on the Licence area has previously occurred in two phases: Four wells were drilled and 2D seismic work conducted from 1998-2001 by the Turkish National Oil Company, TPAO. Two wells recorded good oil shows, including one oil blowout, which was capped, oil gravity is 31°- 37°API.

From 2004 to 2014 a further 2 wells were drilled by Extrem (GBR) and Petrako , Sarıkız-2 , flowed oil to surface and production testing produced of the well resulted naturally flowing more than 1,000 barrels of good quality oil in 7days. . The other well, named Sarikiz-3 tested as producing gassy water with mixture of oil and condensate for some time without showing any stabilized production rate.

The Sarıkız-2 well tested of net oil pay over and placed on production but was abandoned in 2009 due to downhole equipment failure. Sarıkız-3 produced gassy water with oil and condensate, but the well was plugged and abandoned by the operator British farminie which then ran out of funds and Government support and the licence was terminated.

The Alaşehir / Philadelphia Licence is located within the Alaşehir Basin, an elongate Tertiary grabenextending for ~100km. The basin shows many similarities with the prolific oil producing Tertiary basinsof S.E Asia and the giant oil bearing African Rift Valleys. Clastic reservoir sediments and rich source rocks reach thicknesses of over 2.500m - 3.000m with a high geothermal gradient ideal for early oil generation and entrapment.

Alaşehir /Philadelphia license (606 km2) was awarded jointly to Petrako (Operator company having 25% stake) and Petroz Ltd - Australia , having 75% stake. Petroz provides technical assistance by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources at October 2015 and the Joint Venture parties submitted for exploration and production .The initial term of the permit is five (5) years, which first extension period of a further two (2) years term. Production can continue under a production licence through 20 years-plus for the life of the field.

It has commenced the preliminary well design and is planning work and Economical Evaluation Report for the license, Petrako and Petroz JV commitment for the 5 year Work Program is to acquire approximately 50 km2 3D seismic and to drill 9 wells. Project investment in total amount of US$ 31.5Million.Well location for proposed well identified discovery well which is named SPP-1 well is planned to be drilled due Q2 2019 ,TD 2000m, costed approx. US$ 3.5 Million. In addition after the first well, to build surface facilities for oil production. Under Turkish law, oil can be produced and sold under an exploration licence. Oil will be trucked to the nearest refinery along the Aegean coast east of Izmir, some 140 km from the field. Easily sold to refinery with international oil market price ( Oil Brent price)

NUF in Turkey introduced water analysis during strict pandemic conditions in ASKI (Ankara Water and Sewage Directorate) in May 2021 and MUSKI (Mugla Water and Sewage Directorate) to do demo-test on their one of the water-well's water which is highly contaminated with soil (high turbidity - 36 m3/day water rate), in June,2021. Had a test unit backed-wash process with NaOCl in the field where water well flows and tested water from the water well and the test resulted perfectly to promote NUF Metropolitan Municipalities and other cities and industrial zones .
